Sequoyah, Cherokee to drop to AAAA in 2006

Former Chief Arena Bowl Champion Congratulations to Sequoyah graduate, class of 1998, and former football player D. J. Bleisath. D. J. played for the Arena Bowl champion Chicago Rush as an Offensive and Defensive Lineman. Chicago defeated the Orlando Predators 69-61 for the Arena Bowl championship title. D. J., who was an all state defensive back at Sequoyah and sealed the Chiefs first playoff win with a late interception at Lovejoy, has spent the last two seasons in Chicago after a stellar collegiate career at Tennessee Tech. |  |
Farewell to Karen Baker
The Hickory Flat Mafia would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the retiring Karen Baker, softball coach at Sequoyah since the inception of the school. Karen has been a loyal and devoted friend and supporter to Sid and the Chiefs football program and extended family. We wish Karen the best in her future endeavors.

2004 Chiefs recognized by the Georgia House of Representatives
The Chiefs continue to receive recognition for their outstanding 2004 season which included the football teams first ever appearance in the state quarterfinals.
