Each Wednesday before a home game, a dedicated group of volunteers paint the lines and logos on the field at Sequoyah.
Gary Robinson heads up this team making sure the field is properly marked and reflects the spirit
of our Sequoyah Chiefs. It takes a great deal of effort to paint all the yard lines, numbers, hash
marks, end-zones and center field logo. Gary and his crew do an excellent job making sure everything
is ready when your son steps on the playing field.
Remember the old saying "many hands make light work?"
We need quite a few volunteers each week to accomplish this task. You don't need to be an expert
painter. Can you carry a bucket, stretch a guide line, pour paint from one bucket to another
or push a machine? If so your help is very much needed. While you will get a chance to paint if you
want, just having folks there doing the tasks required to keep the paint machines busy makes a big
difference! Plus, you can take pride in how great the field looks when your son's team plays! Can't
make Wednesday evenings? You can still help out by painting the practice field on Sundays! |
