May 23 Sequoyah fans had their first look at the impressive group of young men filling the Chief's rooster for the 2009 season! The annual Black and Gold game features players from the Sequoyah Middle School program as well as the Sequoyah Varsity Players. Based on their performance in this game, it looks to be another GREAT season of Sequoyah football!
The May 15, 2009 Powder Puff Game was a big success! It was the Lady Chief's turn to take the field and show the guys how it's done! Ranking followed the grades with Seniors taking first place and Juniors taking second, Sophomores edged out Freshman for third. It was a fun event and gave our graduating seniors one last day in the sun at Sequoyah's Skip Pope Stadium. Thanks to our graduating Senior Chief football players for coaching the Powder Puff teams and Sequoyah's coaching staff for officiating the game. Watch the slide show from the Powder Puff game here.
